How do I make an enemy go through walls, etc and follow then kill the player?

Now I was thinking. Like the Swamp Simulator game. In it when you don't have any onions/layers yet Shrek doesn't come yet. But then after getting the first onion he moves slow as heck. But the more onions/layers you get, the more hell faster he get after you. So here is what I wanted buy the way: 1. How do I make an enemy when you start the game doesn't move but keeps like looking at you even from long far away, like aiming at you. 2. How do I make the enemy go through walls and etc. 3. What do I do in scripting you know, to make him faster after I collected the thing that I'm going to make. So any help with these stuff? I need to do them.
